What's In Our PF Jars?
Our Jars are packed with moistened Brown Rice Flour (BRF) to accelerate the growth of your mycelium, and Vermiculite to preserve the optimal moisture level.
We take pride in using solely organic Brown Rice Flour in our product, as it offers a unique blend of exceptional contamination resistance, swift colonization, and nutritional benefits when compared to other flour options.


In-depth Guide PF TEK To Growing Mushrooms
Step 1. Clean the Injection Port
-
Preparation: Put on the included nitrile gloves.

Disinfection: Thoroughly wipe the grey injection port with the included alcohol and chlorhexidine prep pads
Step 2. Inoculate Your Jars
-
Attach Needle: Twist the included sterile needle onto your spore syringe.

Inject: Inject the needle through the injection port and squirt roughly 1-2mL (total) of fluid into multiple parts of the jar.
Step 3. Cake Colonisation
-
Waiting Period: Wait roughly 4-8 weeks until the white mycelium colonizes the entire jar.
Step 4. Birthing the Cake

Remove Cakes: Carefully remove the colonized cakes from the glass jar.

Submerge: Submerge the cakes in a bowl of water for 10 hours (or overnight).
Step 5. Cake to Fruiting Chamber

Prepare Chamber: Cover the bottom of a plastic container with perlite roughly 2cm thick (perlite retains moisture).

Transfer Cakes: Transfer each cake onto the provided foil pieces, keeping them separate and spaced out.

Close Lid: Close the lid of the container.
Step 6. Fruiting Time!

Air Circulation: Fan the chamber 3-5 times daily to circulate airflow.

Humidity Maintenance: Spray frequently with a water bottle to simulate rainfall and maintain humidity. Optimal growing conditions are 90-100% humidity and 25-30°C.

Harvest: Mushroom fruiting can take 1-4 weeks.
