Our product utilizes organic Brown Rice Flour for its exceptional contamination resistance, swift colonization, and nutritional benefits.

Our jar lids feature a silicone self-healing injection port to prevent contamination and a 0.2 micron filter for crucial FAE (fresh air exchange) during mycelial growth.

Our BRF recipe contains organic rice flour and vermiculite. These are the TWO key nutritional and moisture-retaining components required for mushrooms fruiting. 

This product requires a Fruiting Chamber.

How to use the BRF kit? (Easy 6-step Guide)

 

Step 1.  Clean the injection port 

Put on the included nitrile gloves. Thoroughly wipe the red silicone injection port with the included alcohol and chlorhexidine prep pads.

 

Step 2. Inoculate your BRF jars 

Twist the included sterile needle onto your mushroom spore syringe or liquid culture. Next, inject the needle through the red silicone injection port and squirt roughly 2mL (total) of fluid into multiple parts of the jar.

 

Step 3. Cake Colonisation 

Wait roughly 4-8 weeks until the white mycelium colonises the entire jar. 

 

Step 4. Birthing the Cake 

Remove the colonised cakes from the glass jar. Then submerge the cakes in a bowl of water for 10 hours (or overnight). 

 

Step 5. Cake to Fruiting Chamber 

Cover the bottom of a plastic container with perlite roughly 2cm thick (perlite retains moisture). Transfer each cake onto the provided foil pieces, separately and spaced out. Close the lid. 

 

Step 6. Fruiting Time! 

Fan 3-5 times daily to circulate air flow. Spray frequently with water bottle (to simulate rainfall & maintain humidity). Optimal growing conditions are 90-100% humidity & 25-30C. Mushroom fruiting can take 1-4 weeks.

 

TIP: Flush to get more fruits! 

To achieve multiple harvests, simply repeat Step 4 "Birthing The Cake" to rehydrate and restart the fruiting process. Submerge cakes for 10 hours to fruit up to 1-3 times.
