Grain Jar Product Details  
 
We only use Organic Millet Grain in our grain bags due to:
 
- Natural combination of high contamination resistance
 
- Fast colonisation time 
 
- Nutritional properties compared to other grains
 
Our jars are MADE TO ORDER to guarantee freshness and can be stored up to 1 month refrigerated.
 
 
How to use the Millet Grain Jar? (Easy 5-Step Guide)
 
Step 1.  Clean the injection port 
 
Thoroughly wipe the grey rubber injection port with the alcohol or chlorhexidine prep pads.

 
Step 2. Inoculate your jar 
 
Twist your sterile needle onto your mushroom spore syringe or liquid culture. Next, inject the needle through the rubber injection port and squirt roughly 2mL (total) of fluid into multiple parts of the jar.

 
Step 3. Jar Colonisation 
 
Wait roughly 4-8 weeks until the white mycelium colonises the entire jar. 

 
Step 4. Pour the jars substrate into a dub/mono tub combined with externally acquired CVG substrate 
(see our shop for 1-2KG Substrate Products)
 
Remove the colonised jar with a spoon and mix into dubtub together with CVG substrate. Leave the tub sealed, do not open. Wait for the top layer to colonise (grow white). 

 
Step 5. Create fruiting conditions
 
Open the holes of your monotub to provide fresh-air-exchange. Fan 3-5 times daily to circulate airflow. Spray frequently with a water bottle (to simulate rainfall & maintain humidity). Optimal growing conditions are 90-100% humidity & 22-36°C. Mushroom fruiting can take 1-4 weeks.
 
 
TIP: Flush to get more fruits! 
 
To achieve multiple harvests, simply submerge your substrate cake in water to rehydrate and restart the fruiting process. Submerge cake for 10 hours to fruit up to 1-3 times.
